DIKE ENERGY REBOUND
WE PUT A LOT OF ENERGY INTO EVERYTHING WE DO: SPEED DOES NOT COUNT; ENERGY IS WHAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
This consideration was our starting point in developing a revolutionary midsole. DER® consists of polyurethane microcapsules which function like a spring system. When the shoe impacts the ground, the kinetic energy in the compression phase is absorbed and then returned in the subsequent step phase with an automatic upward thrust. The energy return is 40%: a higher threshold would be counter-productive for the muscles, neutralising the rebound effect. Thus, the perfect level has been calibrated by our research laboratory through biodynamic tests which have established the optimal return threshold.

While the midsole cushions the impacts between the inner and outer soles and helps to improve the rebound, comfort and stability, the exclusive removable insole, developed by our research laboratories, represents the very best in terms of comfort and ergonomics. In addition to being made of a special material which makes it 50% lighter than any other insole, the microcapsules of which it consists, work in tandem with the midsole, massaging the foot when walking and providing instant relief and optimal ergonomic support. Thanks to the sanitising, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal materials blended into the design mould, feet stay fresh and dry even after a long day’s work. But there is more because Dike wants to take care not just of your feet, but of the environment in which they move as well. Thus, the insole is also ecological and recyclable.
